Happy New Decade! 2020 has arrived and New York Bride & Groom of Raleigh has some stunning new bridal options to showcase. Our favorite designers have been busy creating gorgeous gowns, tuxedos and wedding accessories to help you assemble your ultimate wedding look.

Discover some new traditions and creative ways to celebrate your big day with family and friends below:

To-The-Max Fashion

Our favorite 2020 wedding trends extend to fashion too, and this craze speaks to the classic loving crowd. Big ball gowns, exaggerated sleeves, embellishments and lace — a big departure from the sleek and sexy gowns of years past—are very now. There’s a regal undertone to these looks that feels uber-romantic and classic without being expected. More is more when it comes to the 2020 wedding dresses.

Spray Painted Stems

Greenery is still hip, but this year’s wedding decor trend is getting a colorful makeover. Spray-painted greens, branches, and grasses are adding texture and pops of unnatural color (think neon, frosted pastels and metallics) to arrangements and bouquets. Dip-dyed petals are also hot and a fun way to add an unexpected pop of color into the decor mix. Get more unique and inspiring wedding decor ideas, compliments of The Knot

The intricate lace halter bodice pairs effortlessly with the flowing skirt to deliver the “WOW!” factor you have been seeking. Enjoy detachable lace sleeves for a unique way to create multiple looks with this immaculate wedding dress. Available in multiple sizes.

NYB&G Raleigh Takes Care Of The Guys, Too

We pride ourselves on being your one-stop wedding shop. While the ladies are busy trying on wedding dresses and accessories, we invite the groom and groomsmen to peruse our dedicated tuxedo and custom suit department. We keep it simple, stylish, and affordable for everyone at New York Bride & Groom. Read about some of the latest wedding trends for men below:

We’re also excited to see guys have fun with their looks! This year, we saw grooms rock shawl collars, green tailored suits (the new navy!?), and more than one look. Beyond the outward fashion choices, guys are also personalizing their attire with hidden customizations such as monogrammed patches, embroidery, and more. We want to see more of this in 2020! Take this photo of Nationals player Trea Turner, who wore a suit jacket by STITCHED featuring his engagement photos on the lining, as proof that this idea is a good one.

There’s always a helluva long line in the ladies’ room as girls (by nature) love to fix their hair and makeup mid-party. Thankfully, planner Tara Guérard gave us an idea for a solution: Hire some pros or set up a few touch-up stations at the ready. We’re not talking full makeovers here, but a fresh gloss or curl can go a long way — especially there’s a photo booth nearby! Discover more exciting wedding ideas, compliments of Brides

Ike Behar, Ultra-Slim Blue Indigo Lane Tuxedo: This is a perfect blue alternative to your traditional black, navy, white or grey color options. Tailored to fit every body type including big and tall, you will look great and feel fantastic in luxurious Super 120’s wool.

Catchy phrases

Lately, it seems like everywhere we look, there’s a wedding with a playful, sassy phrase featured somewhere in the decor, whether it’s printed onto cocktail napkins, added to the invitation suite, or hung as a laser-cut sign on an accent wall. This spunky trend is only going to continue to grow in 2020, but the trick to making your phrase feel catchy (not cheesy) is to pick a saying, song lyric, or quote that holds personal meaning to you and your spouse—for example, the sign in this photo says, “Hey good lookin’, what ya got cookin’?” because the groom is a chef!

Wallpaper

Another way to go bold with your wedding decor is by using wallpaper to create a backdrop or accent wall. What we love most about this trend is that it’s extremely versatile, since you can find wallpaper in nearly any color or pattern imaginable, and it’s actually easy to recreate (especially if you use a peel and stick wallpaper). A few places to try this 2020 wedding decor trend: for your ceremony backdrop, for your escort card display, behind a sweetheart table, behind the bar at your reception, or at your dessert table.
